Rosemount is fortunate to have a large number of young people who reach the highest levels of Scouting
programs. The "Eagle Scout" designation is the highest advancement rank, for Boy Scouts.
The City Council tonight continues its tradition of honoring these accomplishments by commending a
resident of Rosemount who recently achieved the Eagle rank.
Ryan Condon began his school year today as a sophomore at Rosemount High School. For his
Eagle project, he created a self - contained science curriculum that will be utilized by Head Start and'
the CAP Agency in Dakota and Scott counties. Hundreds of children who may never have
experienced formal science teaching will now get this educational enrichment opportunity with the
necessary materials in a'safe setting. -Ryan hopes.to attend college on an ROTC scholarship which
would allow,him tobecome a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. He is also interested in a legal
career with the Navy. At this stage, "he hopes to major in American history and physics with a
minor in Spanish.
