RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Ordering a Feasibility Report for
the Hawkins Sanitary Sewer Extension, City Project 438.
BACKGROUND:
Hawkins, Inc. has requested that the City consider the extension of sanitary sewer service to their property
located in the northwest corner of the - former Continental Nitrogen site. This request is based on their
desire to connect to the municipal sanitary sewer system as part of the pending development of the
property. The Hawkins, Inc: site plan is scheduled to be presented to Council at the September 201h
meeting. At this time, Hawkins, Inc. has deposited monies with the City to cover the cost for the
preparation of a feasibility report. As part of the feasibility report, estimated sewer service areas,
improvement costs, and proposed funding options will be determined for Council consideration.
SUMMARY:
Staff is requesting Council authorization to prepare a feasibility report for the Hawkins Sanitary Sewer
Extension, City Project 438.

RESOLUTION 2011 -
A RESOLUTION ORDERING AfEASIBILITY REPORT FOR THE
HAWKINS SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION
CITY PROJECT 438
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has received a request from Hawkins, Inc. to
investigate the feasibility of a sanitary sewer extension, and
WHEREAS, it is understood that the preparation of a feasibility report is at Hawkins, Inc. request and
Hawkins, Inc. expense and in no way implies or guarantees future development approval.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Engineer is directed to have the necessary feasibility
report prepared for the Hawkins Sanitary Sewer Extension, City Project 438.
