RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion`to.appoint Mayor William H. Droste as Weed
Inspector and the Code Compliance Specialist as Assistant Weed Inspector fortthe year
2012.

SUMMARY
All statutory cities are required to annually appoint the City's official weed inspector. The Mayor of a
statutory city is appointed to the position and may defer the service to a designee from City staff.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that Mayor Droste be appointed the Weed Inspector and the Code Compliance
Specialist be appointed as the designee or Assistant Weed Inspector for the year 2012.
