RECOMMENDED ACTION: Mr. Piekarski states that he has information to provide to the
City Council.
BACKGROUND
On December 6`'', Mr. Tom Piekarski addressed the Council during the regular Council meeting about
concerns with the 2012 street improvement project and other items. The next day, he emailed the City
and indicated that he has additional information to provide. His email is re- printed below.
"First, I could not find Andrew's email address, otherwise I would send him a copy.
Pursuant to Minnesota's Data Practices Act. Minn. Stat. 13.01, et seq, Request for Copy of Public
Data (Freedom of Information Request), I would like the following information:
According to Andrew, the painted portion of a lane is considered part of the lane. Being that said, then is
it legal to drive over the lanes? If not, then it is not part of the lane. Just need to know which one is
correct, it is ok to drive over the line or it is not ok?
Also, Andrew stated the some state aid comes to Rosemount for projects. What is name of the state
angencie(s) and contact information?
I have information to bring to the council. Do I need to have that put on the agenda or can I deliver that
at the public comment portion of the city council regulat meeting?
- Last, I would like an audio copy of the meeting on 12/6/11."
Mayor Droste suggested that he be invited to this work session and Mr. Piekarski has indicated that he will
be present. The City Clerk has responded to his requests for information and notified him that he can
pick up the items at the front desk.
