RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve a 90 day medical leave for
Leigh Anderson.
BACKGROUND
Firefighter Anderson has been on.a medical leave from his duties since December 20, 2011 and is at this
time in need of extending his leave to May 17, 2012. According to the Fire Department personnel policy, '
a medical leave of more than 60 days requires City Council approval. Medical documentation has been
received to warrant approval of the additional 90 days.

I am requesting approval for an extension of medical leave - for Leigh Anderson, from February 18, 2012 to
May 17, 2012.
