RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the Labor Agreement for the LELS Local
#2 Collective Bargaining Unit for the Years 2012 through 2013 and to Authorize the
Necessary Signatures.
ISSUE
The City of Rosemount and LELS Local #2 (Police Officers) have negotiated in good -faith and have
come to a tentative agreement.
BACKGROUND
Negotiations with the Law Enforcement Labor Services, Local #2, have been completed for a 2012
through 2013 contract. The Collective Bargaining Unit and City have reached a tentative agreement on the
following items:
Duration:
2 years
Wages:
1% increase on January 1, 2012.
1% increase on January 1, 2013 and 1% increase on July 1, 2013.
Uniform Allowance:
Increase by $50.00 in 2012 and by an additional $50.00 in 2013.
SUMMARY
Last week, LELS Local #2 voted and approved these contract changes. It is requested that Council
approve the labor agreement for the LELS Local #2 Collective Bargaining Unit for the years 2012 through
2013 and to authorize the necessary signatures.
