Mr. Alex Eckstein began his duties as a police officer with the Rosemount Police Department on April 30,
2012. He will be present at the meeting to take the Oath of Office.
Officer Eckstein gxew up in the City of Burnsville and attended District #196 schools — graduating from
Apple Valley High School in 2006. Alex graduated fxom the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's
degree in Environmental Design. After a short time working in the Environmental Design field, Officet
Eckstein decided to pursue a career in law enforcement. In March of this year he gtaduated with honors
from Rasmussen College with a law enforcement certificate.
Alex has been working within the Police Department as a Community Service Officer since August of
2011. He competed against appxoxixnately 250 applicants in the hiring process for police officer. Officer
Eckstein began his field training as a police officer on Apri130` and upon completion of the field training
pxogram Alex will begin working as a patrol officer.
