RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Appoint the following Youth Commissioners:
Jacob Alex
John Drew
Zachary Eichten
Samantha Nelson
Joseph Neuens, Jr.
Meghan Olson
Matthew Simmering
Alternate — Sydney Narloch
ISSUE
The City Council received 10 applications from youth members willing to serve as members on the Youth
Commissions. The City Council conducted interviews for those interested in serving on the commission
on Saturday, May 5 and on Saturday, May 12th. The caliber of talent and enthusiasm of the applicants
who expressed interest in serving on the Commission made the final decision a difficult one.
The Council selected seven Youth Commissioners and one Alternate for the Youth Commission.
According to the Commission bylaws, the term shall run between the May Annual meetings of each year.
The Commissioners may be reappointed.
SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of the above - stated motion to appoint the commissioners.
