RECOMMENDED ACTION: Discussion Only
DISCUSSION
Due to the resignation of Kyle Irving, the Planning Commission has a vacancy for a term ending March
31, 2015. Staff is requesting that the City Council determine how to proceed with the vacancy. Options
include the following:
• Interview the five candidates on file;
• Recruit for the vacancy and hold interviews; or
• Appoint a commissioner without interviews.
Listed below are the current commissioners along with the term end dates:

Bruno DiNella 3/31/13
Wade Miller 3/31/13
John Powell 3/31/14
Mike Weber 3/31/14
Vanessa DeMuth 3/31/15
Kyle Irving 3/31/15
Recruitment of all commissions was held earlier this year. Of the applications still on file, five applicants
specifically mentioned interest in serving on the Planning Commission. The applicants include Marvin
Turner, Terrance Yourchuck, Syed Husain, Denise Bednar and Paul Finkenhoefer.
