ISSUE
As part of the discussion on metrics Commissioner Kearney had suggested that the Port Authority
work on obtaining information that would allow us to set a base for future benchmarking. At the last
meeting there was quite a bit of discussion about surveys and what would be appropriate and how to
get the best information within our means. I have drafted some questions that are a take -off from the
ones Commissioner Kearney had proposed. They are broken into differing topics which may mean
the surveys could be sent out separately.
I did confirm with our Communications Coordinator that after we shift to the new website, we will
have the ability to do electronic surveys. In the meantime it would be good to hone the questions and
run the test case as we previously discussed. I have also contacted Burnsville and Lakeville, both of
which I believe have done business surveys to see if there are some questions that would be easy to
administer and address our Rosemount business interests.
