RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to appoint Syed Ammar Husain to fill Planning
Commission vacancy with effective July 3, 2012 through March 31, 2015.
SUMMARY
Staff is recommending appointment of Syed Ammar Husain to the Planning Commission for a term
effective July 3, 2012 through March 31, 2015. Due to the resignation of Kyle Irving, the Planning
Commission has a vacancy for a term ending March 31, 2015.
Recruitment of all commissions was held earlier this year. The City Council reviewed the applications still
on file of those who specifically mentioned interest in serving on the Planning Commission. The decision

to appoint Mr. Husain is based upon the preferences expressed by the City Council.
