RECOMMENDED ACTION: The recording secretary shall administer the Oath of Office to
Planning Commissioner Syed Ammar Husain.
ISSUE
Minnesota State Statute 358.05 requires that City officials, appointed or elected, must take and sign
an Oath of Office before transacting any business or exercising any privilege of office.
BACKGROUND
Planning Commissioner Kyle Irving resigned his commission term effective May 21, 2012. The City
of Rosemount's City Council appointed Syed Ammar Husain to replace him effective July 3, 2012.
His term will expire March, 2015.
