REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
JUNE 19, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145 Street West,
Rosemount, Minnesota.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members DeBettignies, Shoe - Corrigan,
Weisensel and Kearney attending. Staff present included City Administrator Johnson, City Clerk
Domeier, Assistant City Administrator Foster, Community Development Director Lindquist and
Director of Public Works /City Engineer Brotzler. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
City Administrator Johnson stated that item 6.j. Approve the 2012 Fire Services Contract with the
University of Minnesota was modified on page 2, paragraph 2.b. to read determined instead of
required. He stated the addition to the Consent Agenda of 6.k. Acquisition of Easements —
Diamond Path Trail Project, City Project 434.
Motion by Droste. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda with those two modifications.
Ayes: 5
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
PRESENTATIONS, PROCLAMATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
3.a. Commendation for attainment of Eagle Scout rank
Mayor Droste presented a certificate to Eagle Scout John Munson.
3.b. Commendation of writing award winners
Mayor Droste presented certificates to Alexandra McLaughlin and Carly Kuran.

Nays: None. Motion carried.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
7.a. Request by Boisclair Corporation for Drainage and Utility Easement Vacation at Park
Place Townhomes, Case 12 -12 -VAC
Community Development Director Lindquist summarized the information provided in the staff
report. The City Council did not have any questions about the proposed utility easement vacation.
Droste opened the Public Hearing. No public comments were received.
Motion by Droste. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to close the Public Hearing.
Ayes: 5
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
Motion by DeBettignies. Second by Shoe - Corrigan.
Motion to Adopt a Resolution approving the Vacation of a portion of the Drainage and
Utility Easement within Lot 1, Block 1, Cimmarron Village Townhomes.
Ayes: Shoe - Corrigan, Droste, Weisensel, Kearney, DeBettignies
Nays: None. Motion carried.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Director of Public Works /City Engineer provided an update on the storm damage and debris pick
up within Rosemount. Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of events. The next City Council
regular meeting is July 3, 2012.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by DeBettignies, the meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
