REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
AUGUST 18, 2009
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was
held on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875
145 Street West, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members Shoe Corrigan,
DeBettignies, Bills and Weisensel attending. Staff members present included City
Administrator Johnson, City Clerk Domeier, City Attorney LeFevere, Fire Chief Aker,
Community Development Director Lindquist, Assistant City Administrator Foster and
Director of Parks and Recreation Schultz. The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS
City Administrator Johnson stated there were no changes to the agenda.
Motion by Droste. Second by Shoe Corrigan.
Motion to adopt the agenda.
Ayes: 5
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
PRESENTATION, PROCLAMATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
3.a. Wendy Wulff, Met Council Representative
Wendy Wulff, Met Council Representative, introduced herself to the City Council and
provided updates on Met Council projects affecting Rosemount. Further discussion was
held on affordable housing, financing and other Met Council related activities. The City
Council thanked Ms. Wulff for attending the meeting.
3.b. Receive donation for the fire department
The City Council recognized the donation from AAA Auto Salvage to the Fire Department.
Motion by DeBettignies. Second by Shoe Corrigan.
Motion to accept this undesignated donation of $512 for the fire department.

Nays: None. Motion carried.
CONSENT AGENDA
Council Member Shoe Corrigan requested to remove item 6.n. Second Reading of the
Ordinance Relating to Maintenance of Rosemount Veterans' Memorial Walk and Veterans'
Memorial Monument from the Consent Agenda.
Motion by Shoe Corrigan. Second by Bills.
Motion to accept and approve the Consent Agenda with the absence of item n.

6.n. Second Reading of the Ordinance Relating to Maintenance of Rosemount
Veterans' Memorial Walk and Veterans' Memorial Monument
Council Member Shoe Corrigan requested that Director of Parks and Recreation Schultz
provide the public with more information about the project. Mr. Schultz provided
background and more information on the concept plan for the trail project honoring
veterans. He also stated that the existing monument built in 1999 cost approximately
$21,000. The estimated cost for the proposed Veterans' Memorial Walk project is $962,987.
Motion by Shoe Corrigan. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to hold second reading of the ordinance relating to the maintenance of the
Rosemount Veterans' Memorial Walk and Veterans' Memorial Monument.
Ayes: DeBettignies, Shoe Corrigan, Droste, Weisensel, Bills
Nays: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Shoe Corrigan. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to adopt an ordinance relating to the maintenance of the Rosemount
Veterans' Memorial Walk and Veterans' Memorial Monument.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Droste stated that the next regular City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday,
September 1, 2009.
ADJOURNMENT
There being not further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by
Droste, second by Weisensel, the meeting was adjourned at 8:01 p.m.
