SPECIAL WORK SESSION PROCEEDINGS
JULY 19, 2011
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special work session of the Rosemount CiLy Council was
held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 8:15 p.m.
Mayor Droste called the meeting order with Council Members DeBettignies, Shoe - Corrigan and
Weisensel. Council Member Kearney was absent. Staff present included City Administrator Johnson
and City Clerk Domeier.
DISCUSSION OF PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY
The City Council discussed the open seat on the Planning Commission. After consideration, the City
Council supported the appointment of Mike Weber to the Planning Commission. City Clerk
Domeier will contact Mr. Weber to confirm the potential appointment. Staff will bring forward a
formal recommendation at the August 1, 2011 City Council meeting.
The City Council also discussed holding a joint meeting with the Planning Commission. The
purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the comprehensive plan, projects going on within the City
and miscellaneous training related to the position of a Commissioner. The City Council preferred to
hold the meeting on August 9 from 6:30 -9:30 p.m. with the alternative date of August 17 at the same
time.
The City Council also considered holding a joint meeting with the Port Authority. The purpose of
the meeting will be to discuss the different documents adopted for the Downtown Redevelopment
and other important projects going on within the City. The meeting will be held at a future date.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by DeBettignies, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 8:48 p.m.
