ISSUE
Staff has been with working with representatives from RAAA and Dakota REV to gather information on
the participation rates for sports that use outdoor facilities in Rosemount. We have also been working with
them to identify where they are having issues finding enough facilities for their programs.
The participation information that was provided from the youth sports associations identifies continued
growth for a number of programs. At the time this executive summary was written, staff had not yet
received all of the necessary information to update the facility needs spreadsheet. Staff is planning to
provide an updated facility needs spreadsheet to the City Council prior to the work session meeting.
SUMMARY
Staff would like to provide an overview of the youth sports participation information that is included in
your packet and also discuss the facility needs of the programs.
Representatives from RAAA will be in attendance at the meeting to answer questions the City Council
might have regarding the programs that RAAA coordinates.
