ISSUE
The 2012 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) budget includes funding to make improvements to the banquet
room at the Rosemount Community Center. The proposed improvements in the banquet room include new
carpet,wall coverings,wall lights and stone work. In the banquet room lobby,the improvements would
include new tile,potted plants, accent lights,artwork and benches.The metal door and window frames will
also be painted to match the new color scheme.
There has also been work done to design improvements for the restrooms that would include new floor tile,
sinks,toilets,mirrors and stall partitions. The funding in the 2012 CIP budget will most likely not cover
these improvements, thus staff has proposed funding in the 2013 CIP budget for the restrooms.
The project if approved would be scheduled to start on or shortly after December 17,2012. The anticipated
completion date would be prior to March 1, 2013.
SUMMARY
Staff has recently received updated design plans for the project and would like to share them with the City
Council and receive feedback on the plans.Also attached is a photo of the design board for the project.
Staff will also have the board at the meeting for the Council to review.
The Parks and Recreation Commission have review ed the concept drawings and project boa r d a n d are
supportive of the project.
