ISSUE
One of the City Council Goals for 2012-2013 is to develop an extended program to increase community and
neighborhood amenities, such as benches, trees and landscaping. Staff has extended the benches and
planters used in the downtown area to include the Rosemount Community Center. We also are in the
process of coordinating a memorial bench for Ben Kopp, fallen soldier from Rosemount. This bench and
memorial plaque will be installed in Schwarz Pond Park near the new fishing pier area.
Included in the packet are examples of some seating areas that are in Rosemount or neighboring
communities.Also included in the packet is a map of proposed locations where staff anticipates installing
some of the new amenities.
SUMMARY
Staff would like for the City Council to review the attached information and provide feedback to staff.
