OCTOBER 16, 2012
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
th
on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145 Street
West, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Member Shoe-Corrigan, DeBettignies, and
Weisensel attending. Council Member Kearney was absent. Staff present included City
Administrator Johnson, City Clerk Domeier, City Attorney LeFevere, Director of Public
Works/City Engineer Brotzler, Director of Parks and Recreation Schultz, and Police Chief Werner.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS TO AGENDA
City Administrator Johnson stated that item 6.h. 2012 City Council Meeting Schedule was added to
the Consent Agenda.
Motion by Droste. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda with the addition of item 6.h.
Ayes: 4
Nays: 0. Absent: Kearney. Motion carried.
PRESENTATIONS, PROCLAMATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
3.a. Special Event Update – Halloween Trail
Mike Bouchard and Barb Hester provided information about the Haunted Woods Trail event.
CONSENT AGENDA
Mayor Droste pulled item 6.f. 2013-2017 Dakota County CIP for discussion.
Motion by DeBettignies. Second by Weisensel.
Motion to Approve the Consent Agenda with the removal of 6.f.

6.f. 2013-2017 Dakota County CIP
Director of Public Works/City Engineer Brotzler provided information on Rosemount projects that
are proposed 2013-2017 Dakota County CIP. Discussion was held about the proposed
improvements at the CSAH 42/TH 52 interchange. Mayor Droste requested that staff send a letter
with the resolution to Dakota County explaining that the traffic counts have increased along the
interchange and at the CSAH 42/HWY 55 intersection. It was noted that the County Road 73 item
should be changed to the fifth year of the CIP, 2017. Council Member Weisensel suggested that the
CSAH 42/TH 52 Interchange Project be the first item listed on the resolution.
Motion by Weisensel. Second by DeBettignies.
Motion to Adopt a Resolution Supporting the Dakota County 2013-2017 Transportation
Capital Improvement Program including a change to the resolution in the order of the
projects and to change 2016 to 2017 in the second bullet.
Ayes: Shoe-Corrigan, Droste, Weisensel, DeBettignies
Nays: None. Absent: Kearney. Motion carried. (Resolution 2012-86)
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of events. The next City Council meeting will be held on
Monday, November 5.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by Shoe-Corrigan, the meeting was unanimously adjourned at 7:54 p.m.
