BACKGROUND On July 3, 2012 the City of Rosemount entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with Dakota County for the Flint Hills Ravine Stabilization,ENG 0055. Representatives from Dakota County and Vermillion River Watershed Joint Powers Organization identified that the original agreement included an expiration date that was inconsistent with the project schedule. The attached amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement amends Section 3 "to extend the term of the Agreement to June 30, 2013, or until completion by the parties of their respective obligations under the Agreement, whichever occurs first, unless either terminated by law or according to the provisions of the Agreement." SUMMARY Staff recommends Council approval of the attached amendment.
