RECOMMENDED ACTION: The City Clerk shall administer the Oath of Office Council
Members elect Demuth and Weisensel.
SUMMARY
The Oath of Office for Vanessa Demuth and Jeff Weisensel shall be administered by the City Clerk.
Minnesota State Statute 358.05 requires that City officials must take and sign an Oath of Office before
transacting any business or exercising any privilege of office.
The City of Rosemount's General Election was held on November 6, 2012. Demuth and Weisensel each
received the plurality of votes for the two available Council Member positions. The position of Council
Members is elected to a four year term. The term begins immediately after the Oath of Office is
administered.

I, Vanessa Demuth, do solemnly affirm that I will support the Constitution of the United
States and of the State of Minnesota, and faithfully will discharge the duties of Council
Member of the City of Rosemount in the County of Dakota, and State of Minnesota, to the
best of my judgment and ability. And this I do under penalty of perjury.
