RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to fill Commission vacancies with the following
appointments:
1. Joseph Kurle for a 3 -year term on the Planning Commission;
2. Wade Miller for a 3 -year term on the Planning Commission;
3. David Speich for a 3 -year term on the Utilities Commission;
4. Barb Farrell for a 3 -year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission; and
5. Michael Eliason for a 3 -year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
SUMMARY
The Commission vacancies for 2013 include two 3 -year terms s on the Planning Commission; one 3 -year
term on the Utilities Commission; and two 3 -year terms on the Parks and Recreation Commission. The
City Council received nine applications and interviewed all applicants on March 4 and 5, 2013.
The new Commission terms will start on April 1, 2013 and end March 31, 2016. Staff recommends
approval of a motion to fill the Commission vacancies with the following appointments:
1. Joseph Kurle for a 3 -year term on the Planning Commission;
2. Wade Miller for a 3 -year term on the Planning Commission;
3. David Speich for a 3 -year term on the Utilities Commission;
4. Barb Farrell for a 3 -year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission; and
5. Michael Eliason for a 3 -year term on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
