RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Directing Placement of No
Parking Signs Along Both Sides of Business Parkway from County Road 42 to Brenner
Court and Along 149th Street West from Business Parkway to Biscayne Avenue
BACKGROUND:
The proposed construction of 149`h Street West is being designed to Municipal State Aid standards. In
anticipation of high projected traffic volumes and in accordance with Municipal State slid requirements,
the establishment of "No Parking" along the segment of Business Parkway from County Road 42 to
Brenner Court and along the segment of 149`h Street West from Business Parkway to Biscayne Avenue is
necessary.
SUMMARY:
Staff is recommending that City Council adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking and authorizing
"No Parking" signs along the segment of Business Parkway from County Road 42 to Brenner Court and
along the segment of 149`h Street West from Business Parkway to Biscayne Avenue.

RESOLUTION 2013 —
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT OF NO PARKING SIGNS
ALONG 1491h STREET WEST FROM BUSINESS PARKWAY
TO BISCAYNE AVENUE
WHEREAS, the construction of 149`h Street West will be performed in 2013 as City Project #446,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its residents,
and
WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has produced high volumes of
vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the City of Rosemount, and
WHEREAS, vehicle parking along both sides of 149`" Street West from Business Parkway to
Biscayne Avenue does create a hazard,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
directs the installation of the appropriate "No Parking" signs on both sides of 149' Street West
from Business Parkway to Biscayne Avenue.
