BACKGROUND
At the January 2013 City Council Work Session there was Council discussion about rain gardens and storm
water management practices. In follow up to this discussion, staff would like to review with Council
expanded information on the best uses for rain gardens and other storm water management practices and
discuss goals and strategies for moving forward with implementing these practices in Rosemount.
Bob Barth, Senior Project Manager with WSB & Associates, Inc. will be in attendance at the meeting to
provide information on
1. Stormwater management practices,
2. the settings in which these practices get used, and
3. the water quality and flood control benefits these practices provide.
SUMMARY
Based on a discussion of this topic, it may be appropriate to begin discussing a direction to move forward
with related to storm water management practices.
