RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Ordering the Project, and
Authorizing the Plans and Specifications for the Prestwick Place 7th Addition Street and
Utility Improvements, City Project 448.
BACKGROUND:
Prestwick Place 7th is a residential neighborhood with 37 single - family homes located west of Akron
Avenue and north of CSAH 42. The total estimated project cost for Prestwick Place 7`' Addition is
$2,100,000, which includes a 10% contingency and 25% indirect costs. Of this amount, $1,448,000 will be
funded through assessments by the developers, U.S. Home Corporation and Arcon Pemtom, LLC. The
remaining estimated costs associated with storm trunk over - sizing will be funded with City Storm Core
funds totaling $652,000.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council adoption of a resolution ordering the project, and authorizing the preparation
of plans and specifications for Prestwick Place 7`h Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project
448.

RESOLUTION 2013-
A RESOLUTION ORDERING PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
PRESTWICK PLACE 7T" ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 448
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Rosemount, Minnesota,
construct certain improvements, to -wit: City Project 448, Prestwick Place 7`' Addition Street and Utility
Improvements as described in and in accordance with the feasibility report prepared by the City Engineer;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that said street and utility
improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed, and the City Engineer's report to this
effect has heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk on April 16, 2013.
WHEREAS, the City Council received Petition and Waiver Agreements for said project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby orders the
improvements of the Prestwick Place 7`h Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 448.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare plans and specifications
for the making of such improvements within the Prestwick Place 7`h Addition.
ADOPTED this 16`h day of April, 2013.
