Specifications and Ratifying Advertisement for Bids for the 149th Street Improvements, City
Project 446
BACKGROUND:
On January 2, 2013, the Rosemount City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications
for the 149th Street Improvements, City Project 446. At this time, the plans and specifications are
complete and copies are on file in the Engineering Department.
This project involves the construction of a frontage road along the north side of 150th Street West (CSAH
42) from Business Parkway to Biscayne Avenue. This frontage road will provide access to future
commercial business in the area, and is included as part of the Municipal State Aid system for Rosemount.
The total estimated project cost is $1,136,900 which includes 25% indirect costs. This project will be
funded with a combination of State Aid funds, Water Core funds, Sanitary Core funds, and Storm Core
funds as listed in the table below.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and ratify the advertising for bids for the
149th Street Improvements, City Project 446.

RESOLUTION 2013 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND RATIFYING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
149th STREET IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 446
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the 149`h Street Improvements, City Project 446, and such plans and specifications
have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City Project 446.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than one
(1) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specified the work to be done, stating the bids
will be publicly opened on April 26, 2013 at 11:00 o'clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall in
said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
Clerk for five (5 0/6) percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby ratified by the Council.
