RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Ordering the Project, and
Authorizing the Plans and Specifications for Greystone 2nd Addition Street and Utility
Improvements, City Project 449.
BACKGROUND:
On April 3, 2012 the Rosemount City Council authorized the preparation of an Engineering Feasibility
Report for the Greystone 1" Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 439. That report also included
the construction information necessary for the development of Greystone 2nd Addition, a residential
neighborhood with 31 single - family homes.
The total estimated project cost for Greystone 2nd is $697,585, which includes a 10% contingency and
indirect costs included in the developers agreement. The entire project cost will be funded by the
developer, The Ryland Group, Inc., through a combination of cash payment for overhead and deferred
assessments for the construction costs and trunk fees.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council adoption of a resolution ordering the project, and authorizing the preparation
of plans and specifications for Greystone 2nd Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 449.

RESOLUTION 2013-
A RESOLUTION ORDERING PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
GREYSTONE 2nd ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 449
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Rosemount, Minnesota,
construct certain improvements, to -wit: City Project 449, Greystone 2nd Addition Street and Utility
Improvements as described in and in accordance with the feasibility report prepared by the City Engineer;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that said street and utility
improvements are feasible and should best be made as proposed, and the City Engineer's report to this
effect has heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk on April 16, 2013.
WHEREAS, the City Council received Petition and Waiver Agreements for said project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Rosemount hereby orders the
improvements of the Greystone 2nd Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 449..
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City Engineer is hereby ordered to prepare plans and specifications
for the making of such improvements within the Greystone 2nd Addition.
ADOPTED this 16' day of April, 2013.
