ISSUE
The Public Works Department budget includes funding ($75,000) for the replacement of the playground
equipment at Jaycee Park. There is also $10,000 budgeted for a new border. The playground was installed
at Jaycee Parkin 1992.
Staff is planning to hold a neighborhood meeting in the near future to get input from the residents on
what sort of equipment they would be interested in. Once we receive input from the meeting and discuss
the findings with the Commission, we would then create a request for proposals and work to replace the
equipment in the fall of 2014.
SUMMARY
At our meeting on Monday, staff will share some photos of the existing equipment with the Commission
and discuss the process that we typically use for replacing playground equipment.
