ISSUE
At our meeting in April of 2013, we discussed the replacement of the playground equipment at Erickson
Park. The area where the old equipment was located was between the parking lot and field #1. Included in
the packet is a site plan that shows the new road, turn around and parking lot. The site plan also identifies
other existing amenities on the site.
Due to the tight spacing of fields 1 - 3, if we place a new playground in the area where it had been located,
we need to carefully review how close it is to the parking lot and also the possibility of baseballs and
softball landing near or in the playground area.
SUMMARY
At the meeting on Monday, staff would like to share some ideas about where the equipment might be
located and how we could make the space a safe place to play.
