BACKGROUND:
On May 7, 2013, the Rosemount City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for
the Greystone 2 "d Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 449. At this time, the plans and
specifications are complete and copies are on file in the Engineering Department. A brief review of the
proposed improvements follows:
LOCATION
The Greystone 2 "d Addition, a continuation of Greystone 1" Addition, is located on the east side of Akron
Avenue, mid -way between CSAH 42 and Bonaire Path.
PROPOSEDIMPROVEMENTS
The proposed improvements include the installation of water main, sewer main, storm sewer, streets and
trails to accommodate 31 single - family homes.
COST AND FUNDING
The total estimated project cost is $680,000, which includes a 10% contingency and indirect costs included
in the subdivision agreement. The entire project cost will be funded by the developer, The Ryland Group,
Inc., through a combination of cash payment for indirect costs and special assessments for construction
costs and trunk fees.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and ratify the advertising for bids for the
Greystone 2nd Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 449.

RESOLUTION 2013 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND RATIFYING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS FOR
GREYSTONE 2nd ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 449
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Greystone 2" d Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 449, and such
plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount, Minnesota:
Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the Finance
and Commerce, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements under such
approved plans and specifications for City Project 449.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than one (1)
week before the date set for opening bids, specifying the work to be done, stating the bids will be
publicly opened on June 7, 2013 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall in said City, and
that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five (5 0/6)
percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby ratified by the Council.
