ISSUE
One of the City Council goals is to develop an extended program to increase community and neighborhood
amenities, such as benches, trees and landscaping. Staff has extended the benches and planters used in the
downtown area to include the Rosemount Community Center. We also are in the process of coordinating a
memorial bench for Ben Kopp, fallen soldier from Rosemount. This bench and memorial plaque will be
installed in Schwarz Pond Park near the new fishing pier area.
Included in the packet is a map of the areas that staff is recommending the enhancements would be
installed. Also included in the pack are a few examples of what some of the sites might look like.
SUMMARY
Staff would like for the City Council to review the attached information and provide feedback to staff.
