Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 448
BACKGROUND:
On April 16, 2013, the Rosemount City Council approved the final plat for the Prestwick Place 7`''
Addition Street & Utility Improvements, City Project 448. At this time, the plans and specifications are
complete and copies are on file in the Engineering Department.
The Prestwick Place 7`' addition is a development of 37 single - family homes located west of Akron
Avenue between 150`' Street West and Connemara Trail. The project will be funded mainly through
assessments by the developers, U.S. Home Corporation and Arcon Pemtom, LLC. The remaining
estimated costs associated with storm trunk over - sizing will be funded with City Storm Core funds totaling
$563,530.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and ratify the advertising for bids for the
Prestwick Place 7"' Addition Street & Utility Improvements, City Project 448.

RESOLUTION 2013 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND RATIFYING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
PRESTWICK PLACE 7T" ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 448
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Prestwick Place 7s' Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 448,
and such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City Project 448.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than one
(1) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specified the work to be done, stating the bids
will be publicly opened on June 28, 2013 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall in said
City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
Clerk for five (5 %) percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby ratified by the Council.
