BACKGROUND
Mr. Jacob Grabow began his duties as Police Officer with the Rosemount Police Department on Monday,
August 29. He will be present for the ceremonial oath of office on Monday evening. In order for Mr.
Grabow to legally assume the Police Officer position in a timely manner, the City Clerk privately
administered the oath Monday August 29.
Officer Grabow grew -up in the Vining, Minnesota area and attended Barnesville High School. He holds
an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria. Officer
Grabow has over 13 years of experience in law enforcement. Most recently, he served with the Otter Tail
County Sheriff's Office for over 11 years. He previously served the cities of Parkers Prairie, Pelican
Rapids, and Wilkin County Sheriff's Office. He has served as a coordinated for Otter Tail County Sheriff's
Office's Toward Zero Death traffic program and received advanced SWAT training in operator
techniques, supervision and sniper.
Officer Grabow competed against approximately 182 applicants in the hiring process for Police Officer.
He began his field training as of August 30 and upon completion of the field training program Officer
Grabow will begin working as a Patrol Officer.
The prescribed oath of office is attached.

States and of the State of Minnesota, and faithfully discharge the duties as Police
Officer for the City of Rosemount in the County of Dakota and the State of
Minnesota, to the best of my judgment and ability. So help me God.
