BACKGROUND Based on discussion at the August 12, 2013 Utility Commission meeting, the Utility Commission made a recommendation to the City Council to approve an amendment to the 2013 Schedule of Rates and Fees. The staff report from that meeting is attached for your reference. SUMMARY Staff recommends approving the attached resolution. If *-101 Staff is proposing to amend the 2013 Schedule of Rates and Fees to modify, the rates for cellular antenna equipment located on City water towers or other City property. Staff is seeking Utility Commission recommendation to the City Council to approve the proposed amendment as outlined on the attached excerpt. BACKGROUND As illustrated on the attached Antenna Lease Summary, the City currently holds six leases for cellular antenna equipment located on City property. We are currently in the process of reviewing proposals from both Verizon and AT &T for new equipment on the Connemara water tower. The City currently has no formal pricing schedule for rent or other fees associated with cellular antennas located on City property.
