RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve the issuance of temporary on-sale liquor
license to Rosemount American Legion.
ISSUE
Staff recommends adoption of the above-stated motion: Approve the Issuance of a temporary on-sale
liquor license to Rosemount American Legion. Passage of the motion provides City approval for
Rosemount American Legion to serve alcoholic beverages at their Booyah event on Saturday, November
2, 2013.
SUMMARY
Rosemount American Legion submitted an application for a temporary on-sale liquor license for its
Booyah event. A temporary liquor license is required because the event open is to the public and held
outside of the licensed premise area.
The event will take place in a fenced area of the legion property. The parking lot must be fenced in a
manner consistent with the location map attached to this report. The application and certificate of
insurance are on file in the City Clerk's office.
The Police Chief has reviewed the application materials and has no objection to the request. As required
by State Statue, the temporary on-sale liquor license must be approved by the State of Minnesota,Alcohol
& Gambling Enforcement Division.
