RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Receiving Bids and Awarding the Contract for Test Well 16, City Project 416 contingent upon recording of the deed to Outlot G. ISSUE: Receive quotes and award contract for the Test Well 16, City Project 416. BACKGROUND: On Thursday, December 5, 2013, three quotes were received for Test Well 16, City Project 416. After verification of quotes received, the low quote is Bergerson-Caswell, Inc., submitting a quote of$37,835.00. The project includes the construction of the test well and obtaining geological and water quality data. Costs associated with these improvements will be funded by the City's Water Core Fund. Test Well 16 will be located on Outlot G of the Bella Vista development. The developer has submitted a signed Quit Claim Deed for Outlot G. The award of this project is contingent upon recording of the deed to Outlot G with Dakota County. SUMMARY: Staff recommends that Council adopt the attached resolution receiving the bids and awarding the contract for the construction of Test Well 16, City Project 416 to Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. The quote of Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. of Maple Plain,Minnesota in the amount of $37,835.00 for the Test Well 16 Project shall be and hereby is accepted. 2. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Rosemount. 3. Award of the contract is contingent on the determination by the City Administrator that all necessary rights-of-entry or easements by deed or dedication have been secured for construction of the improvements.
