SPECIAL MEETING PROCEEDINGS
OCTOBER 28, 2013
CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Monday, October 28,2013 at 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145th Street
West, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members DeBettignies,Weisensel and
Demuth attending. Council Member Shoe-Corrigan was absent. Staff present included City
Administrator Johnson, City Clerk Domeier and Chief of Police Werner. The Pledge of Allegiance
was said.
NEW BUSINESS
2.a. Temporary On-Sale Liquor License— Rosemount American Legion
City Clerk Domeier provided a summary of the staff report. The permit will not be granted without
the consent of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety,Alcohol and Gambling Enforcement
Division. Ms. Domeier also explained the rules for the holding a Club Liquor License.
Council Member Weisensel questioned why this temporary license needed State approval. Ms.
Domeier explained that because the Legion carries a club licenses it is not opened to the public.
Because they want to have an event open to the public a temporary license is required. Other
businesses that carry an on-sale liquor license can have their licensed premise changed for events
with only City Council approval.
Motion by DeBettignies. Second by Weisensel.
Motion to Approve the issuance of temporary on-sale liquor license to Rosemount
American Legion.
Ayes: DeBettignies,Droste,Weisensel, Demuth
Nays: None.Absent: Shoe-Corrigan. Motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste,
second by,the meeting was adjourned at 3:36 p.m.
