RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Receiving the Feasibility
Report and Ordering the Public Hearing for the Bacardi Avenue Improvements Project, City
Project 452.
BACKGROUND:
At the June 18, 2013 regular Council meeting, the Council authorized the preparation of the Feasibility
Report for the Bacardi Avenue Improvements, City Project 452. A map illustrating the project area is
attached.
Detailed information about the proposed improvements, estimated project cost, and proposed funding is
included in the attached Feasibility Report. Costs included in the report were completed prior to the
Council Work Session on January 14, 2014. Staff will be available at the Council meeting to answer
questions about the information contained in the report.
A full presentation of the Feasibility Report and the proposed improvements will be made at the Public
Improvement Hearing to be scheduled for February 18, 2014.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council adoption of the attached resolution receiving the feasibility report and ordering
the public hearing for the Bacardi Avenue Improvement Project, City Project 452 for February 18, 2014.

RESOLUTION 2014 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT AND
ORDERING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING
BACARDI AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
CITY PROJECT 452
WHEREAS, the City Council deemed it necessary and expedient that the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota, consider constructing certain improvements, to-wit: City Project 452, Bacardi Avenue
Improvements Project, as described in and in accordance with the feasibility report prepared by the
City Engineer;and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised by the City Engineer that said utility and street
improvements are feasible, and should best be made as proposed, and the City Engineer's report to
this effect has heretofore been received by Council, and filed with the City Clerk on January 21,
2014;and
WHEREAS, the statute provided that no such improvements shall be made until the Council has
held a public hearing on such improvements following mailed notice and two publications thereof in
the official newspaper stating time and place of the hearing, the general nature of the improvement,
the estimated costs thereof,and the area proposed to be assessed,in accordance with the law.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of the City of Rosemount accepts
the feasibility report for City Project 452 and places it on file.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Rosemount that the public hearing be scheduled to consider City Project 452, Bacardi Avenue
Improvements Project, to be held on February 18, 2014 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as
possible,in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
