ISSUE
One of the items requested is a listing of new businesses in the community. Staff has compiled a list of
new businesses over the last several years. However,it may not be an exhaustive list since the City does
not license businesses there is no centralized database for local businesses. Often staff is aware of a new
business due to sign or building permits being issued. Further, for the last several years staff has monitored
most of the multi-tenant commercial buildings to calculate vacancy rates. This information has been used
to put together the attached list.
