ISSUE
The City has been working on a new activity center to be located at the Steeple Center site in
conjunction with a private senior housing project. On March 18, the City Council will be asked to take
action on the planning approvals associated with the two projects. It is intended that the development
agreement will also be scheduled on that agenda. The next step would be to authorize the architects to
develop bid plans for the activity center. Before initiating that work, staff would like to take a final
opportunity to have the council review the activity center building to ensure the Council is
comfortable with the floor layout and exterior building design. Staff would also like to review the patio
area as there has been little discussion about that amenity in the past.
CONCLUSION
Staff would like to have a brief review of the floor layout and patio areas for the activity center so that
we can continue to move the project forward after the planning approvals are granted.
