RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Receiving Plans and
Specifications and Authorize Advertisement for Bids for Bella Vista 2" Addition, City
Project 454.
BACKGROUND:
On November 19,2013, the Rosemount City Council approved the final plat for the Bella Vista 2nd
Addition Street&Utility Improvements,City Project 454. At this time, the plans and specifications are
complete and copies are on file in the Engineering Department.
The Bella Vista 2nd addition is a development of 26 single-family homes located east of Bacardi Avenue
between Bonaire Path and 130th Street W. The project will be funded mainly through assessments by the
developer,U.S. Home Corporation. The remaining estimated costs associated with storm trunk over-
sizing will be funded with City Storm Core funds totaling$38,520.
SUMMARY:
Staff recommends Council receive the plans and specifications and authorize the advertising for bids for
the Bella Vista 2nd Addition Street&Utility Improvements, City Project 454.

RESOLUTION 2014 -
A RESOLUTION RECEIVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
BELLA VISTA 2ND ADDITION STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 454
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount has ordered the preparation of plans and
specifications for the Bella Vista 2nd Addition Street and Utility Improvements, City Project 454, and
such plans and specifications have been presented to this Council for approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rosemount,
Minnesota:
1. Such plans and specifications are hereby approved and ordered placed on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official City newspaper and the
Finance and Commerce an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements
under such approved plans and specifications for City Project 454.
3. The advertisement shall be published in each of said publications at least once not less than one
(1) weeks before the date set for opening bids, specifying the work to be done, stating the bids
will be publicly opened on March 21, 2014 at 10:00 o'clock a.m. at the Rosemount City Hall in
said City, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
Clerk for five (5%) percent of the amount of such bid.
4. Such advertisement for bids is hereby authorized by the Council.
