RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Adopt a Resolution Directing Placement of No
Parking Signs Along Both Sides of Bacardi Avenue from 130th Street West to Bonaire Path
West
BACKGROUND:
The proposed construction of Bacardi Avenue is being designed to Municipal State Aid standards. In
anticipation of high projected traffic volumes and in accordance with Municipal State Aid requirements,
the establishment of"No Parking" along the segment of Bacardi Avenue from 130th Street West to
Bonaire Path West is necessary.
SUMMARY:
Staff is recommending that City Council adopt the attached resolution prohibiting parking and authorizing
"No Parking" signs along the segment of Bacardi Avenue from 130th Street West to Bonaire Path West.

RESOLUTION 2014—
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING PLACEMENT OF NO PARKING SIGNS
ALONG BACARDI AVENUE FROM 130TH STREET WEST TO BONAIRE PATH
WEST
WHEREAS, the construction of Bacardi Avenue will be performed in 2014 as City Project 452,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rosemount is interested in the safety of its residents,
and
WHEREAS, the continued development in the City of Rosemount has produced high volumes of
vehicular and pedestrian traffic within the City of Rosemount, and
WHEREAS,vehicle parking along both sides of Bacardi Avenue from 130th Street West to Bonaire
Path West does create a hazard,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Rosemount
directs the installation of the appropriate "No Parking" signs on both sides of Bacardi Avenue from
130th Street West to Bonaire Path West.
