Rosemount is fortunate to have a large number of young people who reach the highest levels of Scouting
programs. The "Eagle Scout" designation is the highest advancement rank for Boy Scouts.
The City Council tonight continues its tradition of honoring these accomplishments by commending a
Rosemount student who achieved the Eagle rank.
Blake Kaner worked to improve a play area for the pre-school of the church he attends. He
removed an old sandbox on the playground and put sod over the patch where the old one used to
be. He then built another sandbox on the playground. Blake is a senior at Rosemount High
School. After graduation he plans to attend either the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus
or the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire to pursue a major in Information Systems and a minor
in Music Performance.
