ISSUE
The Parks and Recreation Department is continuing to move forward with process to build a splash pad at
Central Park. As you may recall, the splash pad project was discussed at the City Council work session
meeting on January 7,2014. One of the items we discussed was the sun shelter that will be built with
phase 1 of the project. The attached 3-D image was shared with the Council and we discussed getting a
green roof on the shelter.
It has been brought to staff's attention that the topic of roof colors has been a recent topic of discussion.
Staff would like to confirm the color we want on the roof of the shelter before the shelter order is
confirmed. Quinn Hutson from CNH Architects will also be in attendance to discuss the coordination of
color options for the City Hall roof.
