RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to approve the attached Resolution appointing
election judges for the 2014 Primary Election.
SUMMARY
Minn. Stat. 204B.21, Subd. 2, requires that all cities with a Primary Election must appoint election
judges at least 25 days before the election. Staff has recruited over 50 Rosemount and/or Dakota
County residents to serve as election judges for the 2014 primary election.
All judges are required to attend election judge training and equipment training courses. Election
Judge training will be held on various dates in July through Dakota County and on August 7, 2014, at
the City.
CONCLUSION
Staff recommends approval of the above-referenced motion.

RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES
FOR THE 2014 PRIMARY ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require the City Council, as the governing body of the town, to
appoint election judges;
WHEREAS, the Rosemount 2014 Primary Election Judge appointments consists of individuals
recommended by the City Clerk with the approval of the majority of the City Council.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the general public listed below to serve as
election judges reside in Dakota County as required by Minnesota Election Laws and will be trained
according to Minnesota State Statutes:
