RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approval to grant Firefighter Jim Marx the additional 30 day
medical leave of absence.
ISSUE
Firefighter �im Marx is recovering from a non-fire departmcnt related injut�� and is not yet read�� to return to
dutics.
BACKGROUND
Fixefighter Jim i�Iarz is currentl�- out on an appio�-ec� <i0 da� medical lea�-e of absence and 60 da�� personal
leave of absence appro�-ed by� City rldminist�-ator ll�vi�ht Johnson. i�1ar1 has requested an additional 30 da5-
medical leave of absence. Rosemount f�ire Depaitment personnel policy allows for a 90 da�� medical leave
of absencc with City Council approval.
SUMMARY
