RECOMMENDED ACTION: Motion to Approve Ordinance B-241 Amending the City
Ordinance 4-3-6 relating to Fires in City Parks
ISSUE
The changes in Central Park prompt the ordinance amendment before the Council. Part of the park
renovation will include a permanent fire pit in the future. In the meantime, a temporary pit will be installed
to allow use at special events. The pit is available for public use if a burn permit is obtained from the City
Fire Marshal. Because of this additional amenity in the Park, staff wanted to clarify the current ordinance
language to recognize its use.
RECOMMENDATION
Motion to approve the ordinance.
