REGULAR MEETING PROCEEDINGS
NOVEMBER 3 , 2014
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Rosemount City Council was held
on Monday , November 3 rd , 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 2875 145 th Street
West, Rosemount.
Mayor Droste called the meeting to order with Council Members DeBettignies, Shoe -Corrigan,
Weisensel and Demuth attending. Staff present inclu ded City Administrator Johnson , C ity Clerk
Hadler , Communications Coordinator Cox, Director of Public Works Brotzler, and Chief of Police
Scott . Boy Scout Pack 270 led the Pledge of Allegiance .
ADDITIONS OR CORRECT IONS TO AGENDA
City Administrator Johnson stated there were no proposed changes.
Motion by Droste . Second by DeBettignies .
Motion to Adopt the Agenda.
Ayes: DeBettignies, S hoe -Corrigan, Droste, Weisensel, Demuth
Nays: 0. Motion carried.
PRESENTATIONS
2.a. Commendation of state championship for Rosemount High School marching band
Mayor Droste introduced the Rosemount High School Band Director Leon Sieve. Mr. Sieve gave
an overview of the band’s recent State Band Championship; it’s 9 th year in a row. Mr. Sieve showed
video of the band competitions. Council presented certificates to the drum majors Tony Hanto,
Evan Johnson, Alysse Mazakian, George Tangen, and directors Leo n Sieve, Ben Harloff, and
Andrew Dussl.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Residents Mike Bouchard and Paul Hester gave an update on the Halloween Haunted Trail that
took place last weekend. 3725 people at tended the event, including 1750 children. Approximately
1400 pounds of food were collected for the food shelf. They thanked Council Members, Minnesota
4 -H Explorers, Rosemount Rotary, Park & Rec, Public Works, and Police Departments, and the
Police Reserves, and everyone on the Halloween Committee and in the c ommunity.
Mayor Droste thanked the Halloween Committee for all of their hard work.

Ayes: DeBettignies, Shoe -Corrigan, Droste, Weisensel, Demuth
Nays: None. Motion carried.
Mayor Droste asked Public Works Director Brotzler if there are notifications that will go out
regarding the assessment roll. Mr. Brotzler stated that these assessments are a formality for
development related projects through previous agreements between th e City and the developer.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Droste reviewed the calendar of events. The next City Council meeting s will be held on
Monday , November 10 , 2014 ; at 6:15 p.m. to canvass the election results and 6:30 for work session.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the City Council and upon a motion by Droste ,
second by Weisensel , the meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
