BACKGROUND
Mr. Steven Chavez represents District 15 on the Metropolitan Council which includes Rosemount. He
appeared at the City Council's October 14`h work session to discuss a variety of issues with us.
The Met Council is currently in the process of preparing policies to guide the required updates in
municipal comprehensive plans by 2018. The City has made formal comments on several of these
policies. At the October 14`h meeting, it was discussed that the City should invite Mr. Chavez back to
update us from time to time and also keep the public informed. Mr. Chavez indicated that he is available
to attend this meeting and we appreciate his time in visiting with us.
