RECOMMENDED ACTION:
The City Clerk shall administer the Oath of Office to Mayor elect Droste and Council
Members elect DeBettignies and Nelson.
SUMMARY
The Oath of Office for William Droste, Mark DeBettignies and Shaun Nelson shall be administered
by the City Clerk. Minnesota State Statute 358.05 requires that City officials must take and sign an
Oath of Office before transacting any business or exercising any privilege of office.
The City of Rosemount's General Election was held on November 4, 2014. Droste received the
majority of votes for the position of Mayor. DeBettignies and Nelson each received the plurality of
votes for the two available Council Member positions. The Mayor is elected to a four year term and
Council Members are also elected to a four year term. The term begins immediately after the Oath
of Office is administered.
